Many services are directly connecting and publishing to your blog now with the XML-RPC protocol and not all of them "SUBMIT" articles for review as guest bloggers who log into your WordPress do. This can cause draft articles that show up from sites like My Blog Guest and others which you will not notice unless you get the email announcement and you may have trouble finding them because the default WordPress recent drafts shows only the articles you have in draft not ones by other author accounts.
This is where the Better Recent Drafts WordPress plugin comes into play, it shows you all recent drafts by all authors. This is ideal because you can quickly see if any My Blog Guest or other writer drafts are sitting in the queue that maybe need attention but aren’t going to be submitted for review. This is how I manage and know about my My Blog Guest submissions and this plugin also reminds you if others have draft articles that have been idle for a long time so you can follow up and either convince them to finish, or trash them if they will never be completed.
You also get to see who was the last person to edit the article on the Dashboard as well.
